I know there are a few queries and reports floating around that count machines connected to each site..But this is a little different

I inherited this network.. we have a central, 4 primaries, and 250 or so secondaries. I am trying to do a count, but since all of the secondaries are proxy management points,,, i only get a count that shows all machines being conneced to the 4 primaries. I am trying to break it down and get a count on how many clients are connected to each secondary site so i can do some capacity planning and get rid of some secondaries.

thanks

or a report will be fine,. I tried using the default one,,Count clients assigned and installed  for each site....but it is for some reason nowhere near accurate. If i tally up everything from the secondaries... it only equals out to about 1/4 of the machines

If you look at the default report.. count ip addresses by subnet... thats exactly what i want. Except instead of it showing subnets,, i need it to show AD sites.

We have our boundaries on the secondaries configured to the AD sites in sites and services. We are working on some consolidation, and need to know how many sms clients we have at each AD site.

This sort of shows me what i need, But it just lists everything. If i could somehow group everything that shows up under a site as a number instead of listing each machine. I will convert it to a report later

select SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Name, SMS_R_System.ADSiteName from  SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM on SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where (SMS_R_System.ADSiteName like "%")
