Can someone say, in that they affect the records duplicated in DNS, to SMS 2003?

sms wont affect the records in DNS. but dublicate records in DNS will affect SMS..

We have problems with this every now and then when the network people mess with DNS scavenging and decide to turn it off. I've had packages push out to 2 different machines that shared the same IP, although the IP wasn't being physically shared through DHCP, DNS had older records that weren't being cleaned out, so it had 2 machines listed with the same IP. The scary part of that is when we push out image packages.
