If it's short term that would be the way to go though. Or make DP share on the DC there in Germany for the time being.
using DP for multiple boundaries (mcorsillo)

 Hey all,
So here's the setup. Our main office is in the US. We have satellite offices in the UK, Germany, and other countries. All satellite offices have their own AD Site and their own DP. Germany, however, does not yet have a DP on account of lack of hardware.

First question, is it possible to have our UK DP set as the Protected Site System for our Germany IP Range and AD Site boundaries, in addition to the UK IP Range and AD Site boundaries? The UK DP is outside of the IP Range and AD Site for our German office, and I don't know whether this will break functionality.

Second question: what are the advantages, if any, of setting up a Branch DP for the German office until we can spin up a dedicated server, versus just having our German office talk to the UK DP?

We aren't going to be deploying much in the way of software at the moment, we mainly just want to push the client and FEP/associated updates to our German machines.

Thanks!
