I'm trying to write a very simple script that will convert h.264 video saved as .mp4 into a .mov file.  In order to do this I need to open the file in QT pro and simply save it.  I would love to automate this process in Powershell. Sounds easy enough.  QT pro has com objects and scripts have been written in JScript and VB and According to the Quicktime docuementation at http://developer.apple.com/quicktime/activexcontrol.html"  there are methods to instatiate the QT com control, yet when I try and access it in powershell like
$Quick = new-object -com QTOControlLib from the quicktime directory, it returns an error cannot load com type QTControlLib.  I've tried all forms of new-object commands with every item in the directory but none of them will load.
Has anyone worked with QT and Powershell?  Does Powershell require a certain type of com object that QT is not providing?

Sorry, I haven't used QuickTime from PowerShell, I don't have QuickTime loaded on any of my machines. The link you posted doesn't work.  Have you tried to use that QTControlLib from VBScript on the same machine, just so you know it is installed correctly and you're using the correct name?

Ah... The link included a quote my apologies.
http://developer.apple.com/quicktime/activexcontrol.html
should get be correct.

I'll try  VB however QT pro is working properly on my machine and it is only a handful of files in the directory.

Thanks for the reply.
