Currently we have a central, 4 primaries, 200+ secondaries

Each site has a desktop domain controller that is also an sms secondary.
Eash site has its own AD site name with the subnet for the machines in that location.
Each sms site boundary is configured to that sites AD site name.

When looking at the clients, the primary site is the MP and the secondary is the proxy MP.

We are in the process of consolidating DCs.

That machines was demoted as a DC. The subnet was removed from thart AD site and added to a different site.
So now that secondary sites boundary is an AD Site that has no subnet.
Now when i look at one of the clients.. Only the primary site is listed as a MP.

The box that the secondary site is on still exists, it is just not a dc anymore.
To make the clients start using that site as a proxy again.... i just add that subnet into the boundary right? Instead of using the ad site

Ok its been over 12 hours now. I just ran a report that lists the boundaries for each site.. that site still shows the AD site as the boundary and not the subnet
