Sandbox Sharepoint 2010 dev environment Thursday, May 06, 2010 7:04 AM (permalink)
I'm planning to make a dev environment for Sharepoint 2010 RTM
It would be a 2 tier structure with a SQL and Sharepoint srv including web front, app srv and index srv.

The info I'm looking for is disk space.

For the SQL I have 350gb of space available
C: 20gb (OS system)
D: 10gb (system data files)
E: 250gb (sql data files)
S: 20gb (swap)
T: 50gb (sql transaction files)

For SHP srv i got 250gb of space available
C: 40gb (OS system)
D: 40gb (XLS calculation)
E: 130gb (Sharepoint index files)
F: 10gb (IIS logo/System event logs)
S: 30gb (swap files)

Question; Is it a good plan because in 2010 the SQL acts as a file pointer and I don't know if my plan is adapted to that?
