We are currently seeking an IT Senior Systems Engineer Under limited supervision provides technical leadership, design and implementation in IT operations. Plans, organizes, installs, maintains, and project manage information systems for the DDN Data enterprise environment on a 24X7 schedule. Duties and Responsibilities: Leverage extensive experience with Group Policy Management to maintain and implement advanced GPO’s. Implement, install and manage Enterprise Monitoring; Enterprise Server Hardware installation and configuration, Current Virtualization technologies including HyperV, VMware and Citrix; Manage ISA/TMGW, enterprise anti-virus systems for desktop and server; provide customer support pertaining to network and system service calls using a work order system. Systems, local and wide area networking, telecommunications; participates as technical expert on customer-led project teams; Develops cost estimates and cost-benefit analyses for complex information system proposals; manages and conducts customer interface at all levels of the organization; tracks, forecasts, analyzes and reports on section status in budget, production and quality; tracks and evaluates emerging technologies for applicability and potential benefit to DDN; promotes technical and professional development of staff. Audit of hardware/software inventory via SMS; Advanced Windows 2003 and 2008 server administration and troubleshooting; Comprehensive listing of Citrix Skills. Ability to maintain published applications and configure Citrix applications. Enterprise Monitoring experience. Enterprise Server Hardware experience, Knowledge of current Virtualization technologies including Virtualized Users, Apps, Desktops and Servers on VMware ESX Server, MS HyperV, AppV and Citrix; Overall understanding of Microsoft and Linux Systems Administration. SharePoint Portal and Services, SAN Storage, ITIL, ITSM, MOF. Windows, 2003, 2008, XP,7, OSX, Linux operating systems, MS office suites 2003-10; Microsoft Active Directory; Microsoft Exchange 2007-10; TCP/IP protocol suite; OSI Model, IIS, server monitoring software, Working knowledge of Security: ISA Server, PKI, IDS & IPS, Security Policy management, Principle of Least Privilege, Security Analysis, Security Auditing, Endpoint Security, Security Scanning and Monitoring, Network Access, Control, Knowledge of NAP, Trend Neatsuite. Demonstrated knowledge of Network Services, including DFS, DNS, WINS, DHCP, RAS, IAS, PKI, IPSec, EFS; working knowledge of Networking protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP; knowledge of Networking including Cisco, Foundry, Juniper, Checkpoint, VOIP, Nortel, Fiber; proficiency in Scripting: WSH, VBS, Jscript, ADSI, WMI, PowerShell. Manage projects involving multiple computing platforms, remote teams including technical professionals and customer staff, and outside vendors and contractors; effectively train, develop, and supervise technical and professional employees; estimate labor, skill, time, and other resource requirements, and produce cost-benefit analyses; establish and maintain strong business relationships with key vendors to maximize support available to DDN, identify and select alternatives; analyze and interpret complex information systems to solve system operating problems. Provide effective consulting to link customers' business objectives with relevant technology applications; exercise strong customer service values and commitment to all assigned projects; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of DDN staff; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
