Lost most systems in All Systems collection - HELP Please Tuesday, November 15, 2011 1:21 PM (permalink)

I'm running SMS 2003 and I'm not sure what happened, but today I noticed that I lost most of my systems under All Systems collection.  I reran a network discovery which seem to repopulate the collection, but now most of the systems shows that there is no client installed.  Before this incident, I had around 4800 total resources in collection, 3400 total clients in collection and now I have 4754 resources, but only 138 clients.  I think this might have been something to do with the site maintenence task "Delete Inactive Client Discovery Data" setting.  It was changed from 30 days to 5 days.  I would greatly appreciate it if a SMS guru can help me.  Thanks in advance!

Yes, I know this is an old post, I’m trying to clean up older posts that are unanswered.
Did you ever figure this out?

Yes, it would be your Delete task that clean out all of your clients.
