OSD Driver Packages in CM12

Listened to SCCMGuru webcast by Johan. I believe he said that you now have to import drivers into Configmgr to be used in Driver Packages. Is that correct?. At present I simply create a directory of drivers for each model and then create a driver package i.e. no import in the Configmgr database. I guess there's no harm in importing them anyway since it will avoid duplication On another but similar issue does anyone know if MDT2012 will cater for model specific driver packages. I currently use the MDT 2010 Admin database and it obviously has sections for specific make and model. Would be easier to simply call the driver package for that model from MDT, but instead I have numerous lines in the SCCM/OSD task sequence with apply driver package based on WMI checking. Just would be nice to eject all that code and use the MDT database that has already worked out the make/model

Yes, you now have to actually import your drivers into CM12, no more cheating with the "Johan method". It's actually beneficial since CM12 will only allow signed drivers that you know will work and also cut out duplicates.
