Can't connect to SQL 2008 R2

While trying to install SCCM 2012 I get stuck while trying to connect to the SQL DB. I get this error:
I did a search for the cumlitive patch that lead me to this page:
Which hotfix on this page do I need?

CU 4 or higher, disable dynamic ports and hard code 1433

And the docs now say you should be on CU6.
