Image fails due to hash check failure Thursday, May 03, 2012 2:47 PM (permalink)

I have gone through some steps to automate the creationg and capturing of a reference machine. During the apply OS phase to the reference machine the step fails due to a hash check error. I have removed then re added the conents to the DP. I have also gone as far as creating a new OS Installer and got the same errors. I've also tried validating the content. I have had binary differential on and off.  Some areas of note in the smsts.log

I have not tried moving the source location. I will try that next.

I've also run into some weird issues in my lab.  Before going too crazy, I just reverse what I did and try again.

I've made some changes. I've read of people doing it multiple ways but I had to set Data Access to Copy the content in the package to a package share. Is this normal practice for 2012? Or will I just have to do this if I want to run it via a task sequence?

I was then able to tell the TS advert to access content as needed instead of copying down, which fixed the hash errors. I still got errors on teh apply OS part but I am 99% sure its because I was trying to do win 8 and the drivers were unsigned.

Im running the capture sequence with win 7 x64 right now and so far so good.
