Pro Tips in VMM 2008 R2 with SCOM 2012?

I'm planning to upgrade SCOM 2012 this week from 2007 R2. I have VMM 2008 R2, but will not be upgrading it to 2012 for a while. Will Pro Tips via SCOM 2012 integrate with VMM 2008 R2? I'm struggling to find a reference on the web for this. Any guidance or references would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Here is the answer that I got from a SCOM MVP. “That should work. Can’t say that I’ve tried it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t.”

Thank you so much. Our Hyper-V cluster is running on some very powerful servers, so it is possible we simply haven't had an alert yet for natural reasons.
