SCCM 2012 Advice on Isolated network
Tuesday, September 18, 2012 9:48 AM

Hi I support a isolated network which has no internet connectivity. There is however a downstream WSUS server. I have read conflicting information accross the web and am after some definitive advice . . . Currently I've installed WSUS on the on the Site server aiming to sync with the existing WSUS for updates. . . this has not worked so far. Am I on the right track or is the only option a manual WSUS export/import? Many thanks in advance .

You can script exporting metadata and patches from WSUS. Point SCCM to the path where you exported your WSUS metadata/downloaded patches and it will import them. You should be able to easily find the commands for WSUS, set a scheduled task, and walk away. You would still need to manage your upstream WSUS for approved updates and downloading them.
