Boundry Question - Roaming 1.1.1.1 Wednesday, August 31, 2011 3:52 PM (permalink)

I'm doing a migration from SMS 2003 to ConfigMgr.  In reviewing the current environment (which uses AD Sites, IP Subnets, IP Ranges, and Roaming Boundaries) I found the setting below on several of the MP's (4-teir with 7 Primaries) and maybe even on a couple PMP's (150+ Secondaries).  This looks familiar but I can't place a how/why this was done so I figured I'd throw it out there.

SMS site - Roaming Boundaries Tab
Designate this boundary as a LOCAL roaming boundary
Subnet ID - 1.1.1.1
I know I have seen this before but can't remember what the results of this are.

Does anyone have any documentation on what this is and the resulting effect on the Advanced Clients.

Brian

Yes, I know this is an old post, I’m trying to clean up older posts that are unanswered.
Did you ever figure this out?
