Hi all,
I am installing SRS on the CAS which will only be used for reporting. (SCCM2012) this server lives in our root "domain.com"
the initial primary server being in a child domain (child.domain.com) with more being stood up in other (sibling) locations coming on line soon. (child2.domain.com)
the first question is do we have to create a service account for this access and how does that account come into play?
i was trying to give a AD group access to this but not sure how that ties in... (am only just now configuring so i am hoping that there is a security role for this in sccm2012, but not that far along) like "domain\ReportViewer"
and then add users to this group so they have access to this site and can view reports. (can't do that cause it requrires a password (no passwords for security groups that i know of ;)
and my second question is does this service account need to be in the root as well or can it live in the child domain?
Thanks in advance for any info that will make this a little clearer to me!!
