Gents and Ladies,

I got a domain on location A. Now I want to join 2 member server from location B. All communication goes fine. I give in the join account and than it tells me that the RPC server is unavailable. All communction ports etc are open between these location. My netsetup.log says the quoted text. Anyone got an answer?
Also strange in the joining proces it is making and enabling a computer object in AD but after the rpc server error it disables this computer object.

Hello,

I do not believe there is enough information here to solve the problem. Some more discovery will have to take place.
I went to google and typed "join computer to domain RPC error" and read through the first several hits. There are several reasons this can take place.
They vary from the RPC service not running, to ISA server configuration issues, to DNS, and so forth.

In the TCP/IP configuration for the member server you're adding, does the DNS server point to the Active Directory Domain Controller that is serving DNS for Active Directory?

well a few things come to mind, do you have servers in domain b set to same network ip information as domain a? Did you remove them from old domain and place into a workgroup? Is the Dhcp client service and dns client service running? When you went to join them to domain a did you get prompted for your domain a credentials?
