Hi folks,

I was discussing the IP range feature with some people and there was a question coming up I couldn't answer.

When using an IP range within the definition for a boundary, can this range contain only one or more subnets? i.e. if I have a subnet 10.5.20.0 and 10.5.21.0, can I define the range 10.5.20.100-10.5.21.100 or do I have to define 2 ranges, one for 10.5.20.100-10.5.20.255 and one for 10.5.21.1-10.5.21.100? Does it also depend on the defined subnet mask? If somebody has practical examples, I'd be glad about.
I couldn't find a definite answer on it yet, my demo environment is not suitable to test it. Thanks.

Ingrid

IP range is based on the subnet Mask. So depending on your subnet mask you could have a range like 10.5.20.56 to 10.5.21.30 .
