x86 VS X64 Boot Image Tuesday, March 06, 2012 7:49 AM (permalink)

I am trying to PXE boot a x86 machine, but it keeps trying to download the x64 boot image. I do have a mixture of x86 and x64. When the machine does download it tries to load and gives me an error about the wrong architecture...which is obvious because its a x86 trying to use a x64 boot image. How can I get the x86 to boot first...?...and will the x64 machine be able to use the x86...reboot and then download the correct boot image?

Thanks,

Josh

Configure the task sequences to only use x86 boot images. You can deploy x64 OS Image Packages even with a x86 boot image.

Configure all task sequences to use the same x86 boot image, then PXE will use that one too.

The Task Sequence you advertised to the all unknown computers collection will have a boot image assoicated with it.
