In this section we will Create our Admin database. The AdminDB is excellent because you can add items into it without needing to update your package files. For example if you use locations in custommsettings.ini you would have to edit the text file when you add a new location, but with the AdminDB you just need to enter in the new site information in the AdminDB.


Open the Deployment Workbench and navigate to Deploy > Database. Right Click on Database and Select NEW

The New DB Wizard Opens. Enter in the Name of your database server (SMS DB Server Suggested). Be SURE you have Named Pipes selected for network Library

Enter in a name for your new DB.

Specify a shared folder on the SQL Server.
