BDD 2007 Create a Lab Build

The next step is to create a Build. A build is essentially a set of instructions on how to build your reference image. This is one of the most beneficial and under appreciated aspects of BDD 2007 - a repeatable build process. It can be very tempting to bypass this and just install the OS and then configure it manually and add all of the apps you need. However we all wind up forgetting to add something or change something. Here we will just create a basic build, just enough to create an image and continue setting up ZTI. However I encourage you to get out the BDD Docs and learn all you can about this process and to eventually have it set up so that there are no manual steps involved at all.

Navigate to Builds
Right Click and Select NEW

The Build ID will be visible in several areas. Something semi descriptive is suggested.

The options here depend on what OS's you have imported.
